Rooted in her Egyptian heritage and now based in the United States, Gamila Elshobary, also known as Mila, is an artist who paints from the soul outward. After her mother passed away, she returned to painting as a way to hold her grief and give shape to what words could no longer carry.

 Self taught, with art woven into her bloodline yet never formally nurtured, she discovered that this gift was waiting for her to reclaim it. What began as a private refuge became a calling to cultivate and share her voice with the world, transforming silence into a visual language of healing, remembrance, and awakening.

Her work is layered with energy, frequency, and emotion. Drawing from ancient Egyptian symbolism and infused with Arabic calligraphy, she paints about healing journey and each piece carries a hidden message about self-love, duality, letting go of fear, and staying in the light.   

Every piece is born from deep introspection, lived experiences, and a desire to break generational cycles.Through her art, Mila hopes to leave behind more than just images, she hopes to leave imprints on the soul. A visual reminder that healing is possible. That strength lives within. That you are not alone.

Her recent commissioned piece, titled "Lightkeeper," was created for a therapist’s office and described as “beyond imagination.” The artwork brought warmth, color, and healing energy to the space, affirming her mission to create art that transforms and uplifts.
